DRAFT — pending counsel
These terms apply to every organisation that uses Veya, and to each person who uses it for that organisation. By accepting them you confirm you may accept them for your organisation. Veya is a pilot: features may change, and there is no fee during the pilot unless we agree one with you in writing.
Your account: keep your sign-in private, invite only people who work for your organisation, and remove anyone who leaves. You are responsible for what is done under your organisation's accounts.
Hiring decisions are yours: Veya shows the evidence behind a worker's skills; it does not decide who you hire, and it does not score workers. You make every hiring decision, and you remain responsible for meeting the employment laws that apply to you, including anti-discrimination, wage and hour, work authorisation and safety training rules. Veya is not the employer of the workers you hire, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Fair use: use Veya only to fill real roles. Do not use it to discriminate against anyone on a basis the law protects, and do not try to work out a worker's age, race, sex, religion, disability or other protected trait from what Veya shows you.
Evaluations: record an evaluation only for work you or your own staff observed, on the equipment named, at the facility and on the date given. Do not record an evaluation you know to be false. An evaluation is bound to your organisation and that equipment, and other employers see it as such.
Worker information: workers' contact details reach you only after an offer is accepted. Use the information Veya gives you only for hiring and managing work through Veya, keep it confidential and secure, and do not sell it, publish it or contact workers to recruit them away from the platform before an offer.
Confidentiality: during the pilot, keep Veya's software, screens and design confidential, and do not copy, scrape or reverse-engineer them. We may use your feedback freely.
Ending: you may stop using Veya at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Your obligations on confidentiality and worker information continue after you stop.
No warranty and limits: Veya is provided as it is during the pilot. To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.
Changes: when these terms change we will ask you to accept the new version at your next sign-in. California law applies.
